This week’s Single of the Week is “Sister Siam” by The Whip. The Whip are one of the most exciting bands to emerge from Manchester in a long time. They have just embarked on a tour with Late Of The Pier and Hadouken!, followed by their own 25 date headline tour across the UK. The band have just finished recording their debut album, due for release next year.
This week’s Single of the Week is “Weekend Wars” by MGMT. MGMT is a group from Brooklyn whose debut was produced by Flaming Lips constant, Dave Fridmann. They also spent a good part of 2007 creating new fans while opening for Of Montreal. Brightly-lit psychedelic rock with electronic overtones is how you might describe “Weekend Wars”.
Today’s Free Single Saturday is “The Was” by Make Model. With the bands first album due later this year, Scotlands ‘Make Model’ are causing a big stir. They band will be touring the UK through March and April and we recommend that you look them up. In the meantime to you can download their first single ‘The Was’ for free on iTunes today.
This week’s Single of the Week is “Time Will” by Hercules and Love Affair. “Time Will” is an extraordinary record thanks to the inclusion of Anthony, from The Johnsons fame. The song is amazingly-voiced, with an electro-pop theme, making it an excellent free single of the week!

Adela Diane hails from Nevada City in Northen California, and her debut, The Pirate’s Gospel has been describe of having a “psych folk” and “New Weird America” influence.
