Apple have just announced that they have lowered the price of the 1GB iPod Shuffle (240 songs) to just £32, and have released a new 2GB iPod Shuffle (500 songs) for just £45. The iPod shuffle is a great way to carry around some of your select favourite songs, without breaking the bank. The Shuffle is tiny, and has a clip so that you can attach it to an item of clothing and wear it anywhere. There are five colours and has 12 hours of continuous battery life.

This week’s Single of the Week is “Split Lips” by Sons of Daughters. Sons of Daughters are a 4-piece rock band from Glasgow, and have released three albums on the Domino record label. The band started in 2001, and have toured with Morrissey and Franz Ferdinand. “Split Lips” is a slightly bitter track, but the female vocals and repetitive rhythm gives the song a folk-like feel.
